Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team at a prestigious star hotel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the hotel’s financial operations. This role is crucial in driving financial transparency, efficiency, and growth while working closely with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping & Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely submission of financial reports to management.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Process vendor invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments.
Monitor guest billing, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on outstanding receivables.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Track budget performance and report variances with actionable insights.

Audit & Compliance:

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Ensure adherence to local tax regulations and financial policies.

Payroll & Cost Control:

Assist in payroll processing and verify employee reimbursements.
Monitor departmental expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.

System & Process Improvement:

Utilize hotel accounting software (e.g., Opera, SunSystems, QuickBooks) efficiently.
Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

1-5 years of accounting experience in a star hotel or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
Proficiency in hotel accounting software (e.g., Opera, Micros, SAP).
Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial data analysis.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
