Key roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of economic reports, briefs, articles, press releases and responses to press and other institutions both locally and internationally.
- Preparation of papers, notes, letters and memos relating to Central Bank of Oman different subject matters.
- Preparation of CBO speeches, lectures and presentations as required.
- Translation/interpretation of technical material (economics and finance related) from English into Arabic and vice versa in addition to summarizing research papers, studies and reports as required.
- Responsible of proper information dissemination and follow-up on surveys, queries, and questions received from external and/or internal parties.
- Responsible of content scrutinization and accuracy and timeliness of department various publications, including content published on CBO website, social media platforms and internal portal in coordination with relevant departments within CBO.
- Assist with CBO Annual Report compilation, revision, scrutinization, vetting, translation and design in coordination with the department internal teams and relevant departments within CBO.
- Assist with translation of the Financial Stability Report and Macroeconomic Stability Report in coordination with the relevant departments within CBO.
- Any other work entrusted by the HOD as per need (meetings, events management, correspondence, presentations, etc.)
Required Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
- Experience in drafting reports/ memos/ speeches/ presentations / regulations.
- Adequate understanding of banking system and key regulations and standards.
- Good knowledge of the functioning of financial institutions, financial markets, and economy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments ensuring maximum quality of deliverables.
- Aptitude to maintain accuracy and speed while working under pressure.
- Ability to work in teams as well as independently.
- Proficient in using Microsoft excel, power point, and word.
- Must possess personal sense of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Banking, Economics, Translation, Communication, Journalism).
Knowledge in banking, finance and/or economics is preferable.
3 years of work experience in a similar role.
