Job Summary:
The Senior Food & Beverage Supervisor oversees daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth workflow, and high standards of food and beverage quality. With prior experience as a Restaurant Hostess, this role also involves managing reservations, seating arrangements, and front-of-house coordination to enhance the dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Guest Service & Hostess Duties:
- Greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently.
- Ensure smooth guest flow by managing waitlists during peak hours.
- Train and supervise hostess staff on proper greeting, seating, and phone etiquette.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and escalate when necessary.
2. Supervision & Operations:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing procedures.
- Supervise servers, bartenders, and hostesses to ensure adherence to service standards.
- Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing breaks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
3. Food & Beverage Quality Control:
- Monitor food presentation and beverage service to maintain high standards.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Conduct regular checks on table setups, cleanliness, and stock availability.
4. Training & Team Leadership:
- Train new staff on service protocols, POS systems, and customer engagement.
- Motivate team members to deliver exceptional service and resolve conflicts.
- Provide performance feedback and support staff development.
5. Administrative Duties:
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Handle cashiering duties, process payments, and reconcile receipts.
- Prepare reports on daily operations, guest feedback, and sales performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years in F&B, including hostess and supervisory roles.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership: Strong team management and multitasking abilities.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to handle high-pressure environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Micros, Toast) and reservation software (OpenTable, Resy).
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
