Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled PLC Controls Engineer with expertise in HVAC, energy management systems, and industrial automation. The ideal candidate will design, program, and integrate PLC-based control systems to optimize building automation, energy efficiency, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.) and SCADA systems for HVAC and energy management applications.
- Integrate Building Automation Systems (BAS) with PLC controls for optimized performance.
- Design and implement energy-efficient control strategies for HVAC, lighting, and power systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop custom automation solutions for commercial and industrial facilities.
- Conduct system diagnostics, performance tuning, and remote monitoring of PLC-controlled systems.
- Work with IoT, BACnet, Modbus, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Provide technical support for PLC/HMI programming, ladder logic, and structured text.
- Ensure compliance with energy codes, ASHRAE standards, and safety regulations.
- Assist in commissioning, startup, and training for clients and technicians.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, RSLogix, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, VFDs, sensors, and energy management systems.
- Experience with system integration (BAS, BMS, IoT platforms).
- Familiarity with energy modeling tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST) is a plus.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- LEED GA/AP, CEM (Certified Energy Manager)
