Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Draftsman with over 2 years of experience to create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and plans for HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other drafting software and a strong understanding of HVAC design principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, including ductwork layouts, piping diagrams, and equipment plans.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and codes.
- Review and modify drawings based on feedback from clients, engineers, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local building codes.
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist in material estimation.
- Maintain organized project documentation and revisions.
- Work with 3D modeling software (e.g., Revit MEP) for BIM projects (if applicable).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC drafting (residential/commercial projects).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar software.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, duct sizing, and load calculations.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and building codes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred (But Not Required):
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
- Knowledge of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) for airflow analysis.
- Certification in AutoCAD/Revit.
