Job Summary:
The Warehouse Helper is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods. This role ensures that inventory is handled efficiently and safely while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Unloading:
- Assist in unloading shipments from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders or invoices.
- Report damaged or missing items to the supervisor.
- Stocking & Organizing:
- Store items in designated warehouse locations.
- Label and organize inventory for easy retrieval.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory logs.
- Order Picking & Packing:
- Pick items from shelves based on order lists.
- Pack orders securely for shipment or customer pickup.
- Ensure correct quantities and product quality before dispatch.
- Loading & Shipping:
- Load goods onto trucks or delivery vehicles safely.
- Assist in preparing shipping documents and labels.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the warehouse clean and free of hazards.
- Operate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely.
- Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required.
- Team Support:
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff and supervisors.
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior warehouse or manual labor experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to [X] lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Basic math and reading skills for inventory tracking.
