Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires clinical expertise, compassion, and adherence to medical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
Assist with diagnostic tests and medical procedures.
Provide wound care, post-operative care, and chronic disease management.

2. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate patient records (electronic & paper-based).
Document nursing interventions, medications, and patient responses.
Report critical changes to physicians and senior nurses.

3. Collaboration & Communication:

Work with doctors, specialists, and healthcare teams to develop care plans.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery.
Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and relatives.

4. Compliance & Safety:

Follow hospital policies, infection control protocols, and safety guidelines.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
Adhere to legal and ethical nursing standards.

5. Emergency Response:

Respond to medical emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrest, trauma).
Perform CPR and other life-saving interventions when required.
