Demi Chef De Partie – Pizza
Job Summary:
The Demi Chef De Partie (Demi CDP) for Pizza is the right hand to the Pizza CDP. This role involves executing most of the hands-on pizza preparation and cooking, supporting the CDP in managing the station, and helping to guide the Commis Chefs. It is a role for a skilled cook ready to take on more responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pizza CDP in the smooth running of the section.
- Prepare pizza bases, sauces, and mise en place to a high standard.
- Cook and finish pizzas during service, ensuring they meet quality and timing expectations.
- Help with training and overseeing the Commis Chef – Pizza.
- Ensure the station is kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
- Monitor dough levels and assist in dough preparation and balling.
- Step in for the CDP in their absence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience as a Commis Chef in a pizza kitchen or as a Demi CDP in a similar environment.
- Solid understanding of pizza-making techniques and oven operation.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- A team-oriented attitude and eagerness to learn.
