PLUMBER

Reporting To: Plumbing Supervisor / Senior Plumber
Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable Plumber to install, maintain, and repair various piping systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience with modern plastic piping systems used for water supply, drainage, and other utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- UPVC & HDPE Pipe Works: Install underground and above-ground UPVC drainage and sewer systems, including socket welding. Assemble and install HDPE pressure pipes using butt fusion or electrofusion techniques.
- PPR Pipe Works: Install hot and cold-water plumbing systems using PPR pipes. Perform skilled heat fusion welding to create strong, leak-free joints.
- System Fabrication: Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes, tubes, and fittings according to specifications.
- Layout & Installation: Interpret plumbing isometrics and layouts to accurately route and install piping systems.
- Pressure Testing: Assist in performing hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests on installed systems to ensure integrity and identify any leaks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in plumbing, specifically with UPVC, HDPE, and PPR systems.
- Demonstrable skill in fusion welding techniques for HDPE and PPR.
- Knowledge of plumbing codes and standards.
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy pipes and work in various conditions.
- ITI/Diploma in Plumbing or a related field is an advantage.
