Head of Venue Technology Delivery
Job Summary:
The Head of Venue Technology Delivery is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end delivery, installation, integration, and operational readiness of all technology systems within the organization's venues. This includes overseeing large-scale projects for broadcast, connectivity, security, and fan experience technologies. The role demands a strategic leader who can manage complex logistics, diverse teams, and stringent deadlines to ensure flawless execution for world-class events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall venue technology delivery strategy and roadmap.
- Lead a large, multi-disciplinary team of project managers, engineers, and technicians.
- Manage the entire project lifecycle for venue technology deployments, from initial planning and budgeting to installation, testing, and handover to operations.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for all venue technology delivery issues.
- Establish and enforce rigorous project management methodologies, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Manage multi-million dollar budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement activities.
- Collaborate closely with construction, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of technology into venue infrastructure.
- Report directly to the CIO/CTO on delivery progress, risks, and budget.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in technology project delivery, with at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, critical technology infrastructure projects, preferably in stadiums, arenas, or large event spaces.
- Expertise in broadcast, IT network, audio-visual, and security systems.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million dollar capital budgets.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
