Contracts & Procurement Manager
Job Summary:
The Contracts & Procurement Manager for the technology department is responsible for managing the entire procurement lifecycle for technology goods and services. This role ensures that the organization obtains the best possible value, manages supplier relationships effectively, and mitigates contractual risks. The role requires a strong understanding of technology licensing models, service level agreements (SLAs), and capital procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for technology hardware, software, and professional services.
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process: RFx creation, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Draft, review, and manage a wide range of technology contracts, including licensing, SaaS, support, and consulting agreements.
- Work closely with legal, finance, and information security teams to ensure contract compliance.
- Manage the supplier relationship management (SRM) program for key technology vendors.
- Ensure procurement activities align with the organization's financial policies and technology strategy.
- Maintain a repository of all technology contracts and manage renewal timelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in technology procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
- Strong understanding of technology licensing terms, cloud pricing models, and IT service management.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience with contract law principles.
- CIPS or similar procurement certification is highly desirable.
