Sports Business Systems Analyst
Job Summary:
The Sports Business Systems Analyst acts as the crucial link between the sports business departments (e.g., Ticketing, Marketing, Player Management, Scouting) and the technology team. This role is responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and configuring and supporting specialized software applications that are unique to the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from sports business stakeholders.
- Configure, support, and administer specialized sports applications (e.g., ticketing systems, CRM, player performance and scouting databases, league compliance systems).
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical developers to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Develop user stories, process flow diagrams, and functional specification documents.
- Plan and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) and train end-users on new systems and features.
- Provide ongoing application support and troubleshoot complex system issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably within a sports organization.
- Deep understanding of sports business operations (ticketing, sponsorship, fan engagement, etc.).
- Experience with common sports industry software (e.g., Paciolan, KORE, SAP Sports One, or similar) is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
