Network Architect Lead
Job Summary:
The Network Architect Lead is the top technical authority responsible for the design, strategy, and evolution of the organization's global network infrastructure. This role defines the network architecture for data centers, cloud connectivity, wide area networks (WAN), and local area networks (LAN) across all venues and offices, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the long-term network strategy and architecture blueprint.
- Design and oversee the implementation of complex network solutions, including SD-WAN, data center networking, and cloud on-ramps (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute).
- Lead the design of high-density, carrier-grade Wi-Fi networks for large public venues.
- Define network standards and technology stacks for the entire organization.
- Collaborate with the Head of Network Security to embed security into all network designs.
- Evaluate new networking technologies and lead proof-of-concept testing.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior network engineers.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 12+ years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture.
- Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
- Deep experience with Cisco and/or Arista networking hardware and software.
- Proven experience designing and implementing SD-WAN, ACI, and large-scale Wi-Fi solutions.
- CCIE or equivalent level certification is highly desirable.
