About the Role
Madison World is seeking a diligent and experienced Finance professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes, including accounting, compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a strong grasp of Indian accounting standards and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Operations:
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations including processing of bills, receipts, Credit Notes (C/N), and Debit Notes (D/N).
- Handle vendor and supplier payments with strict adherence to timelines, ensuring compliance with MSME payment regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:
- Prepare ageing reports and diligently track accounts receivable.
- Actively follow up on overdue payments from clients to ensure timely collections.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
Compliance & Audit:
- Coordinate and manage TDS deductions, deposits, and return filings.
- Handle GST compliance, including coordination for returns and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation and support for statutory audits.
- Perform reconciliation of Form 26AS and ensure compliance with related requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely MSME vendor reporting as per statutory guidelines.
Reconciliations & Reporting:
- Perform monthly and periodic reconciliations of client and vendor accounts.
- Issue balance confirmations and No-Due Certificates (NDCs) as required.
- Support the finance team in preparing various internal financial reports.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: B.Com or M.Com degree.
- Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Sound and practical knowledge of TDS, GST, and other statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software, preferably Tally or a similar ERP system.
- Personal Attributes:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective follow-ups.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
