OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary
The Operations Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong hands-on capabilities to plan, direct, and coordinate operations in alignment with the company's goals and objectives. The Operations Manager will ensure that operational processes remain compliant with local Abu Dhabi and UAE regulations while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance productivity and performance.
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth in collaboration with senior management.
- Lead the operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and motivation to drive maximum performance.
- Production & Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee production processes, scheduling, and workflow to meet output targets and quality standards.
- Manage the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to meet demand without incurring excess costs or stockouts.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Enforce strict quality control standards and ensure all products/services comply with customer specifications and regulatory requirements (e.g., ESMA, ADQCC).
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing and adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and UAE labor laws.
- Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage the annual operations budget.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Approve operational expenditures and ensure they stay within budget.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and key clients to build strong relationships and ensure seamless operations.
- Resolve any operational issues or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise operations staff, including team leaders and supervisors.
- Conduct performance reviews and foster a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an operations management role, preferably within the UAE/GCC region.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex operations and leading teams.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and UAE regulatory standards.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
