Supervisor – Painting
Vacancies: 6 Nos.
Salary Range: KWD 500 – 550 + OT
Job Summary:
The Painting Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of painters and blasters to execute surface preparation and coating application activities efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities of painting and blasting crews.
- Plan and organize work fronts, ensuring proper sequencing and resource allocation.
- Ensure all surface preparation and coating application is performed as per the approved procedure and project specifications.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including confined space entry, hot work permits, and the use of PPE.
- Monitor environmental conditions and ensure they are suitable for painting work.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC Painting Inspector for inspections and sign-offs.
- Manage the inventory of painting materials, equipment, and consumables.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and safety practices.
- Report daily progress and any issues to the Construction Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or ITI Certificate. Additional certification in painting/coating is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in industrial painting, with at least 3-4 years in a supervisory role.
- Thorough knowledge of surface preparation methods, coating types, and application equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety requirements for painting operations.
