Foreman – Rigging (QP)

Salary Range: KWD 350 – 500 + OT
Job Summary:
The Rigging Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all rigging, lifting, and heavy movement activities on site. They ensure that all lifts are planned and executed safely using the correct equipment and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise complex rigging and lifting operations, including critical lifts.
- Read and interpret load charts, lifting plans, and engineering drawings.
- Direct the crew in the safe setup and use of cranes, hoists, slings, shackles, and other rigging hardware.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is certified, inspected, and in good condition before use.
- Conduct pre-lift meetings (Toolbox Talks) and ensure all personnel understand their roles and the lift plan.
- Enforce strict compliance with company and project safety procedures, especially for tandem lifts and lifts near live equipment.
- Coordinate with crane operators and signalmen to execute lifts safely and efficiently.
- Supervise the assembly and disassembly of cranes and heavy equipment as required.
- Maintain records of lifting gear certifications and daily lift activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma or ITI Certificate. Rigging and Lifting certification (e.g., OPITO, LOLER, or equivalent) is essential.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in rigging and lifting operations in the oil & gas or construction industry, with significant experience in a foreman or lead role.
- Must be physically fit and have a strong understanding of dynamic forces, center of gravity, and load calculations.
