Welder – TIG & ARC (CS)
Vacancies: 143 Nos.
Salary Range: KWD 250 – 325 + OT
Job Summary:
The Welder is skilled in performing high-quality welding on Carbon Steel (CS) pipes and structures using TIG (GTAW) and ARC (SMAW) processes as per welding procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding operations on carbon steel materials in various positions (1G to 6G) as required.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate parameters based on the WPS.
- Prepare weld joints by grinding, cleaning, and beveling as necessary.
- Interpret engineering drawings and isometrics to determine weld requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring proper housekeeping.
- Perform self-inspection of welds and correct any defects.
- Use and maintain welding tools and equipment properly.
- Adhere to all safety rules, including the use of appropriate PPE for welding and grinding.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI Certification in Welding or a related trade.
- Must possess valid welder performance certifications (e.g., ASME IX, CSWIP) for TIG and ARC on Carbon Steel.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a welder in a heavy industrial environment.
- Ability to pass practical welding tests.
