Welder – TIG & ARC (SS)

Salary Range: KWD 275 – 325 + OT
Job Summary:
The Welder is specialized in performing high-integrity welding on Stainless Steel (SS) pipes and components using TIG (GTAW) and ARC (SMAW) processes. This role requires exceptional skill to prevent contamination and ensure corrosion-resistant welds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision TIG and ARC welding on stainless steel materials, ensuring minimal heat input and distortion.
- Strictly follow WPS for stainless steel, paying close attention to gas shielding (back purging) and interpass temperature control.
- Ensure work area and materials are kept clean to prevent carbon contamination of stainless steel.
- Use dedicated tools and equipment (e.g., wire brushes, grinders) for stainless steel to avoid cross-contamination.
- Interpret complex drawings and weld symbols.
- Conduct self-visual inspection to ensure welds are free from defects like sugaring, porosity, and oxidation.
- Adhere to all safety and quality protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
- ITI Certification in Welding.
- Must possess valid welder performance certifications (e.g., ASME IX, CSWIP) specifically for TIG and ARC on Stainless Steel.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience, with a proven track record in high-quality stainless steel welding, preferably in the food, pharmaceutical, or high-purity process industries.
- Ability to pass rigorous practical welding tests on stainless steel.
