Crew Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Crew Coordinator acts as the vital link between management, engineers, and the workforce on the ground. This role is responsible for the daily coordination of personnel, equipment, and tasks to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to the work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the daily assignment of crews (operators, riggers, technicians) to various tasks and work locations.
- Liaise with the Lifting Engineer and Project Managers to understand daily priorities and resource requirements.
- Monitor crew attendance, timekeeping, and productivity.
- Facilitate toolbox talks and ensure all crews are briefed on the day's tasks, risks, and lift plans.
- Track the status and location of equipment and materials needed for lifting operations.
- Act as the primary point of communication for the work crew, relaying information and issues to supervisors.
- Assist in resolving minor logistical and personnel issues on site to prevent work disruption.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Permits to Work (PTW) and site safety regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further qualifications in supervision or logistics are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a coordination or supervisory role within construction, oil & gas, or heavy lifting.
- Must be locally available in Qatar with a valid QID.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of construction/lifting site workflows and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret work schedules and basic technical plans.
