We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR & Admin Officer to join our leadership team and drive our human resources and administrative functions.
Job Summary
As the Senior HR & Admin Officer, you will be a key leader responsible for the entire employee lifecycle. You will ensure all HR operations run smoothly and in strict compliance with UAE labor laws. Your role is crucial in managing recruitment, performance, employee relations, and HR systems, while also mentoring a junior team. You will be the go-to expert for all HR matters, acting as a strategic partner to management and a trusted advisor to employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Compliance:
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, probationary periods, transfers, and separations.
- Maintain and update all employee records, both physical and digital, with the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all UAE Federal and Local (Sharjah) labor laws, immigration regulations, and other relevant legislation.
- Process and manage employee visas, work permits, Emirates IDs, and other government-related documentation.
- Prepare all HR-related documents, including employment contracts, addendums, and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
2. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, from job posting and sourcing to screening, interviewing, and offering.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage job portals, recruitment agencies, and other sourcing channels.
- Ensure a positive and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
3. Performance & Policy Management:
- Drive the company’s performance management cycle, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Guide managers on effective performance feedback, coaching, and handling performance issues.
- Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the organization.
- Regularly review and update the employee handbook.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and grievances, providing professional and timely resolutions.
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee relations issues fairly and confidentially.
- Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
5. Team Leadership & Administration:
- Mentor, train, and supervise a small team of HR and Admin staff, ensuring smooth departmental operations.
- Delegate tasks effectively and monitor team performance.
- Oversee general administrative functions, including office maintenance, supplies, and coordination with vendors.
- Manage the HR Information System (HRIS) to streamline processes and generate insightful reports for management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A recognized HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a strong advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a senior HR generalist/officer role within the UAE.
- Legal Knowledge: In-depth, practical knowledge of UAE Labor Law and immigration procedures is mandatory.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in mentoring or leading a team.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable.
- Systems: High proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications.
