Job Overview:
The Project Engineer provides the critical technical and engineering support necessary to execute projects efficiently. You will bridge the gap between design, planning, and site execution, ensuring engineering solutions are practical and compliant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review design drawings, specifications, and technical documents for constructability and compliance with Austrian norms (ÖNORM).
- Prepare and issue technical submittals, method statements, and risk assessments (RAMS).
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Resolve technical queries (TQs) and site-based engineering issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and the design team.
- Oversee quality control inspections and ensure work meets engineering standards.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
- Monitor site progress and report on technical deviations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a project engineering role within the Austrian construction or industrial sector.
- Practical knowledge of Austrian construction codes, regulations, and ÖNORM standards.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and MS Project.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in German.
