Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the installation and execution of sprinkler and mist fire protection systems for a project in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a contract-based role requiring immediate availability and the ability to manage intensive project timelines.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical systems within construction or fire protection projects, along with proven leadership and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee installation of sprinkler and mist systems
- Plan, coordinate, and execute project activities on-site
- Ensure project delivery within timelines, budget, and quality standards
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site teams
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Conduct site inspections and monitor installation progress
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and stakeholders
- Ensure proper resource allocation and workforce management
- Monitor project milestones and prepare progress reports
- Resolve technical and operational issues on-site
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies
- Maintain project documentation and reporting
- Manage communication between all project stakeholders
- Ensure quality control and inspection standards are met
- Support commissioning and handover processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong experience in sprinkler and mist fire protection systems
- Experience in construction or industrial projects
- Knowledge of European/German standards is an advantage
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work long hours (60+ hours/week)
- Immediate availability (ASAP start required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on international or European projects
- Certifications in project management (PMP or equivalent)
- Knowledge of fire protection standards (NFPA, FM, etc.)
