Job Summary:

The HR Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily HR operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and performance management processes. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive employee matters professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations & Compliance:

Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintain and update employee records (both digital and physical).
Oversee payroll coordination with the finance department.
Assist in audits and reporting for legal and internal compliance.

2. Recruitment & Onboarding:

Supervise the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviews, and selection.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and training programs.
Ensure a smooth transition for new employees.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement:

Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
Mediate workplace conflicts and provide guidance on HR-related issues.
Support employee engagement initiatives (surveys, recognition programs, team-building activities).

4. Performance Management:

Assist in implementing performance review systems.
Provide guidance to managers on employee evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
Track employee performance metrics and recommend improvements.

5. Benefits & Compensation:

Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies).
Assist in salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.

6. Training & Development:

Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
Track employee training progress and certifications.

7. HR Reporting & Analytics:

Generate HR reports on turnover, hiring, retention, and other key metrics.
Analyze trends and recommend strategies for workforce planning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Certifications: HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR) and MS Office.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
