Senior QA Engineer (Big Data & Automation)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. If you have a strong background in automation, big data testing, and the airline domain, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Planning: Formulate comprehensive test strategies for applications within our big data platform.
Automation & Scripting: Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Python and established frameworks.
Big Data Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of bulk data processes across multiple sources using tools like Apache Hadoop, Hive, and equivalents.
Database & SQL Expertise: Perform in-depth database testing on platforms like Oracle, Redshift, and Hadoop, utilizing advanced SQL for validating complex data sets.
Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test cases.
Analysis & Reporting: Execute test cases, analyze results to identify defects and areas for enhancement, and provide comprehensive test execution reports to project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of total experience in IT, with a minimum of 2 years within the airline domain.
Proven expertise in big data testing and handling bulk data workflows.
Strong proficiency in database testing (Oracle, Redshift, Hadoop) and writing advanced SQL queries.
Hands-on experience in test automation using Python for scripting and automating test cases.
Excellent analytical abilities to understand complex systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
