Job Summary

The Vice Principal (Senior School) is a key member of the school’s leadership team, responsible for supporting the Principal in the academic, administrative, and pastoral oversight of the Senior School (Grades 9–12 or equivalent). The role focuses on fostering a positive learning environment, ensuring high academic standards, and promoting student well-being and discipline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership

Assist the Principal in developing and implementing the school’s academic vision, policies, and curriculum.
Oversee teaching and learning, ensuring high standards of instruction and assessment.
Monitor student progress, analyze academic performance data, and implement improvement strategies.
Lead faculty professional development and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practices.
Coordinate examinations, timetabling, and academic reporting.

2. Student Welfare & Discipline

Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture.
Oversee student behavior management, including disciplinary actions in line with school policies.
Address pastoral concerns, working with counselors, teachers, and parents to support student well-being.
Lead initiatives on student leadership, extracurricular engagement, and character development.

3. Administrative & Operational Management

Assist in day-to-day school operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Represent the school in the Principal’s absence.
Manage student admissions, transitions, and graduation processes.
Ensure compliance with educational regulations and accreditation standards.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

Build strong relationships with parents, staff, students, and the wider community.
Communicate school policies, achievements, and developments effectively.
Collaborate with the leadership team on strategic planning and school improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: Master’s degree in Education or related field (preferred).
Certification: Valid administrative/leadership certification (e.g., Principal’s License).
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in secondary education.
3+ years in a leadership role (e.g., Department Head, Dean, or Assistant Principal).
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
Knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, and educational technology.
Ability to analyze data and drive academic improvements.
