We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Petrochemical Engineer to join our team at our state-of-the-art petrochemical facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plant operations and shutdowns within the GCC, preferably with SABIC or similar companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage shutdown, maintenance, and operational processes in a petrochemical environment
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and permit-to-work systems (Cold, Hot, Electrical, etc.)
Monitor and enforce the implementation of all related safety procedures during critical operations
Coordinate with HSE and operations teams for NEBOSH compliance and permit approvals
Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and job safety analyses
Lead teams and contractors during execution of technical tasks
Maintain thorough documentation of permits, inspections, and compliance reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues efficiently

Requirements:

Degree or DAE in Chemical / Petrochemical / Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of total experience, including 3+ years in the GCC petrochemical sector (SABIC experience preferred)
Valid WPR card is mandatory
NEBOSH certification is mandatory
Strong knowledge of permit systems and safety protocols related to Cold Work, Hot Work, Electrical, and Confined Space Permits
Excellent understanding of shutdown processes and petrochemical plant safety systems
Ability to work under pressure and lead technical teams on-site
