Job Title: BTEC Business Teacher

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Business studies, specifically for BTEC qualifications, enabling students to achieve their academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning

Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with BTEC Business curriculum standards.
Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Support students in completing coursework, assignments, and assessments.
Prepare students for internal and external assessments.

Assessment & Feedback

Design and assess assignments in line with BTEC requirements.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student progress.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.

Curriculum Development

Contribute to the development and updating of BTEC Business course materials.
Ensure compliance with awarding body standards (e.g., Pearson Edexcel).

Student Support

Mentor and guide students on academic and career pathways.
Identify and support students with additional learning needs.
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Administration

Maintain accurate student records and reports.
Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions.
Ensure all coursework meets internal verification and quality assurance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
Experience teaching BTEC Business or similar vocational qualifications.
Strong understanding of BTEC assessment criteria and structure.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
