Accountant at Samphire
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Samphire due to a staff retirement. We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support our financial operations. This is a permanent role, subject to funding.
Position: Accountant
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience
Hours: 18.5 hours per week (flexible, but Mondays are required for Team Meetings)
About the Role:
The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Director with all financial aspects of running the charity. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to Charity Law, payroll, and fundraising. You will work closely with the Treasurer, Director, and Trustees to maintain sound financial management.
Key Responsibilities (as outlined in the attached Job Description & Person Specification):
- Supporting the Director with day-to-day financial management.
- Ensuring compliance with Charity Law, company law, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Managing payroll and related requirements.
- Assisting with financial reporting for fundraising and grant applications.
- Collaborating with the Treasurer, Director, and Board of Trustees on financial strategy and reporting.
