Job Overview:
As a School Bus Driver at Emirates Transport, you will be responsible for the safe and punctual transportation of students to and from school and related activities. You will serve as a frontline ambassador for our organization, ensuring a secure, respectful, and positive environment for students, parents, and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Operate a school bus in a safe, efficient, and lawful manner at all times, adhering to all Emirates Transport, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), and UAE traffic regulations.
- Student Welfare: Maintain order and discipline among students on the bus, enforcing safety rules and addressing concerns with professionalism and care.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (e.g., brakes, lights, tires, emergency equipment) and report any mechanical defects or damage immediately.
- Punctuality & Reliability: Adhere strictly to assigned routes and schedules, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of students.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with school officials, parents, dispatchers, and management.
- Emergency Procedures: Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols and ensuring student safety.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sanitized bus interior and exterior.
- Record Keeping: Accurately complete required logs and reports (e.g., attendance, incident reports, mileage).
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Valid UAE Driving License: Possession of a valid UAE Heavy Bus driving license (License Code 6) is mandatory.
- Experience: Prior experience as a school bus driver, passenger transport driver, or similar role is highly preferred.
- Clean Record: A clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Character: Must possess a strong sense of responsibility, patience, and a genuine concern for the safety of children.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
- Health: Must be medically fit and pass a pre-employment medical test as per UAE regulations.
- Age: Meets the minimum age requirement as per UAE licensing authority.
