🍣 Job Title: Sushi Chef
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, especially sushi preparation, and a passion for delivering high-quality food with excellent presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese dishes according to established standards
- Ensure freshness, quality, and proper storage of all ingredients
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering seafood and kitchen supplies
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and comply with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Create visually appealing sushi plates for customers
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook
- Knowledge of sushi techniques, knife skills, and food safety standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong presentation skills
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a hotel, fine-dining restaurant, or Japanese restaurant
- Culinary certification is an advantage
