Job Overview:
The Security Engineer designs, engineers, and oversees the implementation of integrated electronic security systems for high-end commercial, banking, or critical infrastructure projects in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer comprehensive security solutions including Access Control (ACS), CCTV/VSS, Intrusion Detection (IDS), and Perimeter Protection systems.
- Develop system architecture diagrams, schematic drawings, and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate hardware and software from leading vendors (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Bosch).
- Program, configure, and commission integrated security systems.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities to ensure designs meet Swiss security standards (e.g., SN, VdS) and client-specific requirements.
- Provide technical support to installation teams and conduct system handover/training for end-users.
- Stay current with emerging security technologies and Swiss regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Security Technology, or equivalent vocational training (Höhere Fachschule).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a security engineering role, preferably within the Swiss market.
- Expert knowledge of security system integration and relevant Swiss norms.
- Proficiency with major security system manufacturers’ software.
- Strong analytical and client-facing skills.
- Fluency in German or French, depending on the region; English is beneficial.
