Job Title: Cable Puller / Data Cabling Technician

Job Overview:
A hands-on role for a technician to install, pull, and terminate copper and fiber optic cabling for data, telecom, and security systems in new build and retrofit projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install cable support systems (ladder rack, tray, conduit).
- Safely pull, route, and bundle CAT6/6A, CAT7, and fiber optic cables according to layout diagrams.
- Terminate cables onto patch panels, keystone jacks, and fiber optic enclosures.
- Perform basic testing of cables for continuity and connectivity using appropriate testers.
- Adhere to industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 11801, TIA-568) and site-specific specifications.
- Work under the direction of a site supervisor or project engineer.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Assist with general site labor duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a cable puller, electrician's mate, or in a similar installation role is essential.
- Familiarity with data cabling systems and basic hand/power tools.
- Understanding of safe manual handling techniques.
- Ability to read floor plans and cable run sheets is advantageous.
- Willingness to work at height and in various construction site conditions.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- A SafePass and possibly a Manual Handling certificate are required for Irish construction sites.
