Job Title: Senior Underwriter
Job Summary
The Senior Underwriter is responsible for evaluating and assessing risk for insurance applications, making informed underwriting decisions, and ensuring profitability while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role also involves mentoring junior underwriters and supporting strategic underwriting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze insurance applications, financial statements, and risk factors

- Review and approve underwriting decisions within assigned authority limits

- Support product development and underwriting strategy improvements
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters and team members

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 6–12+ years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of underwriting principles, risk analysis, and insurance products
