Job Summary
The RMC Senior Specialist (HIS) is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing Hospital Information Systems (HIS) within the Revenue Management Cycle (RMC) environment. The role ensures efficient system functionality, integration, user support, data accuracy, billing coordination, and compliance with healthcare standards to support hospital operations and revenue cycle processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Hospital Information System (HIS) applications related to Revenue Management Cycle operations.
- Coordinate with clinical, finance, billing, insurance, and IT departments to ensure smooth system workflows.
- Monitor HIS performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve user-reported problems.
- Configure system modules, user access, workflows, and reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate patient registration, billing, coding, claims, and revenue data processing.
- Support system upgrades, testing, implementation, and integration activities.
- Generate operational and financial reports for management review.
- Provide training and technical support to end users.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate with software vendors and third-party service providers.
- Analyze workflows and recommend process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and issue tracking.

Technical Skills

- Healthcare databases and reporting tools
- Knowledge of SQL, reporting systems, or healthcare interfaces is an advantage.
- Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7, ICD, CPT, or insurance coding practices.
