Contract Duration: 1 Year (Renewable)
Salary & Benefits
💰 Salary: €13.52 Gross Per Hour
🎁 Bonus: 4 bonuses per year (€135 each in March, June, September & December)
⏰ Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week
💵 Overtime: Paid at 1.5x base rate
🏖️ Annual Leave: 24 days + public holidays
🏥 Paid Sick Leave: Up to 13 days
📄 Probation Period: 3 Months
Job Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable Truck Drivers for a reputable company in Malta. The selected candidates will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Operate Category C vehicles (rigid trucks over 3.5 tonnes) safely and in compliance with road regulations
✅ Transport goods and materials to assigned destinations according to delivery schedules
✅ Load, unload, secure, and handle cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
✅ Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report defects or maintenance issues
✅ Maintain accurate delivery documentation, trip logs, and transport records
✅ Ensure compliance with driving hours, tachograph regulations, and transport safety laws
✅ Follow company health, safety, and security procedures at all times
✅ Provide professional and courteous service to customers and clients
✅ Keep the assigned vehicle clean, safe, and in good working condition
Requirements
✔ Valid Category C Driving License (HGV Class 2 or equivalent)
✔ Proven experience as a Truck Driver / HGV Driver
✔ Good understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
✔ Physically fit to handle loading and unloading duties
✔ Strong time management and ability to work independently
✔ Reliable, punctual, and responsible work attitude
✔ English communication skills required
✔ Pre-departure course certificate required
Monthly salary calculation:
€13.52 per hour × 40 hours per week = €540.80 per week
Average monthly hours based on your contract (173.33 hours/month):
€13.52 × 173.33 = €2,343.42 Gross Per Month
