Salary & Benefits
💰 Salary: €12.48 Gross Per Hour
💵 Estimated Monthly Salary: €2,163 Gross Per Month
🎁 Bonus: 4 bonuses per year (€135 each in March, June, September & December)
⏰ Working Hours: 40 Hours per Week (173.33 Hours per Month)
💵 Overtime: Paid at 1.5x base rate
🏖️ Annual Leave: 24 days + public holidays
🏥 Paid Sick Leave: Up to 13 days
📄 Probation Period: 3 Months
Job Overview
We are seeking hardworking and physically fit Road Construction Labourers for a reputable company in Malta. The selected candidates will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining roads, pavements, and transportation infrastructure while following safety procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Perform road construction, paving, resurfacing, and pothole repair works
✅ Lay kerb stones, paving slabs, asphalt, and road surface materials
✅ Dig trenches for gas, water, electrical, and drainage installations
✅ Support tunnel construction and infrastructure repair works
✅ Set up traffic barriers, road signs, traffic lights, and safety controls
✅ Operate construction tools and machinery such as pneumatic drills, rollers, tarmac sprayers, and cement mixers
✅ Paint road markings and assist with traffic management activities
✅ Maintain roadside areas by cleaning debris, trimming vegetation, and maintaining signs
✅ Follow health, safety, and site operational procedures at all times
Requirements
✔ English communication skills required
✔ Pre-departure course certificate required
✔ High school diploma or equivalent
✔ Previous experience in road construction or a similar field preferred
✔ Physically fit for manual labour and lifting heavy materials
✔ Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
✔ Basic knowledge of construction techniques and workplace safety
✔ Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
✔ Willingness to work outdoors in different weather conditions
