Job Description – Spray-Applied Waterproofing Applicator
We are looking for an experienced Spray-Applied Waterproofing Applicator to join our team in Cyprus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional application of spray-applied waterproofing systems, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply spray-applied waterproofing systems, including Pitchmastic Blueshield PmB, Polyurea, and Polyurethane (PU) coatings, in accordance with manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare, inspect, and verify that all substrates and application surfaces are clean, dry, and suitable before beginning waterproofing works.
- Operate spray application equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
- Ensure all completed waterproofing works are free from leaks, defects, and poor workmanship.
- Apply UV-resistant protective coatings, quartz sand finishes, or other specified finishes after waterproofing applications.
- Organise and manage labour, materials, tools, equipment, and consumables for efficient project execution.
- Coordinate daily activities with site engineers, project managers, supervisors, and other construction personnel.
- Monitor material usage to minimise waste while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Mobilise personnel, equipment, and materials to project sites as required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain all spray equipment, machinery, and associated tools in good working condition by carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance.
- Prepare and submit daily work reports, material consumption records, and project progress updates.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
- Maintain a professional attitude and work effectively as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management to support the successful completion of waterproofing projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience applying spray-applied waterproofing systems such as Pitchmastic Blueshield PmB, Polyurea, or Polyurethane (PU).
- Previous experience on commercial, industrial, or residential construction projects.
- Written references or employment confirmation from previous employer(s).
- Valid driver's licence.
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of waterproofing techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors, at heights, and in varying weather conditions when required.
