Job Summary:
The Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for driving light vehicles safely and efficiently to transport staff, passengers, goods, or documents to designated locations. The driver must follow traffic regulations, maintain the vehicle in good condition, and ensure timely and safe transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive light vehicles safely in accordance with traffic rules and regulations.
- Transport staff, passengers, goods, and documents to assigned destinations.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Monitor fuel levels, oil, tyres, brakes, and other essential vehicle components.
- Report mechanical problems, accidents, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure all vehicle documents, including registration, insurance, and permits, are valid.
- Follow company policies and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers and transported items.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Valid driving licence for the applicable light vehicle category.
- Previous driving experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of traffic rules and road safety regulations.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good communication skills.
- Punctual, reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious.
