Job Title: Assistant Manager – Finance (Fintech)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Finance to join our team. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in UAE tax and audit, ideally from a consulting or audit firm, who is ready to apply their expertise in a fast-paced fintech environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, managing financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

Prepare and file accurate and timely VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations.
Manage end-to-end UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including calculations, filings, and documentation.
Stay updated with changes in UAE tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to company processes.
Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.

Audit & Financial Controls

Assist in the preparation for and management of internal and external audits.
Maintain robust financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Review and improve existing processes for efficiency and compliance.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
Prepare detailed financial reports, statements, and analyses for management.
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure adherence to all UAE financial regulations and standards.
Monitor compliance with company policies and industry best practices.
Assist in the implementation of new regulatory requirements as they arise.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Technology, Legal) to support business initiatives and ensure financial alignment.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) are a plus.
Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on UAE tax and audit.
Experience in a consulting or audit firm is highly preferred.
Previous exposure to the fintech or financial services industry is advantageous but not mandatory.

Technical Skills

Proven expertise in UAE VAT filing, compliance, and advisory.
Hands-on experience with UAE Corporate Tax implementation and compliance.
Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations and auditing standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
