About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Breakfast Chef to join the team at a vibrant, high-volume all-day breakfast café. You will be the heart of our kitchen, responsible for executing a popular menu centred around classic and modern breakfast and brunch items. Your expertise in speed, consistency, and presentation will ensure our guests have an exceptional dining experience from the morning onwards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook all breakfast and brunch menu items to the highest standard.
Expertly execute egg dishes (poached, scrambled, fried, omelettes), pancakes, waffles, avocado toast variations, and smoothie bowls.
Ensure mise-en-place is completed efficiently for a smooth service.
Maintain consistency in portion sizes, plating, and food quality.
Uphold strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP).
Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment during peak hours.
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation for your section.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef, Line Cook, or similar role in a continental, brunch, or all-day breakfast café (e.g., establishments like The Breakfast Club, The Brunch Room).
Must-have expertise: Mastery of cooking eggs to various specifications, pancake/waffle batter preparation, and assembly of trendy breakfast items like avocado toast and smoothie bowls.
Ability to work under pressure, especially during morning/brunch rushes.
Strong understanding of kitchen operations and safety standards.
Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-player mentality.
