Job Summary:

The Mixer Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver and pour concrete at construction sites. The driver ensures timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to safety regulations, maintaining the vehicle, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operation & Delivery:

Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites.
Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
Ensure proper mixing and consistency of concrete during transit.
Pour and discharge concrete as directed by site supervisors.

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the mixer truck, checking fluid levels, tires, brakes, and mechanical systems.
Report any mechanical issues or defects to maintenance personnel.
Keep the truck clean and in good working condition.
Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.

3. Customer & Site Coordination:

Communicate with dispatchers, site supervisors, and customers to confirm delivery details.
Assist with paperwork, including delivery tickets and logbooks.
Ensure proper placement of concrete and follow site instructions.

4. Compliance & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
Adhere to weight limits and load restrictions.
Follow environmental and hazardous material handling guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class B or A).
Clean driving record (no major violations).
Previous experience as a mixer truck driver or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and truck maintenance.
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions.
Strong communication and time-management skills.

Work Environment:

Outdoor work at construction sites in varying weather conditions.
Physical demands include climbing in/out of the truck, bending, and standing for long periods.
May require early mornings, evenings, or weekend shifts depending on project needs.
