Commercial Manager (Procurement & Estimation)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Manager to oversee the procurement, estimation, and commercial operations for our joinery and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost-effectiveness, financial control, and commercial risk management from tender to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end estimation process for large-scale and complex joinery & fit-out tenders.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to secure high-quality materials and subcontractor services at competitive prices.
Prepare detailed cost plans, bills of quantities (BOQ), and commercial submissions.
Manage vendor and subcontractor pre-qualification, negotiation, and contract awards.
Oversee project budgeting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting.
Handle commercial aspects of contracts, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial and estimation team.
Provide critical financial and commercial input to support senior management decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
10–12 years of proven experience in procurement and estimation, specifically within the joinery, interior fit-out, or construction industry in the UAE/GCC.
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and joinery-specific finishes.
Strong expertise in cost estimation software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, Planswift, or similar) and advanced MS Excel.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills.
Proven leadership abilities and team management experience.
Familiarity with UAE contract law (FIDIC/DFS) is essential.
