Overview: The Commi Waiter provides direct, attentive, and knowledgeable service to a specific section of tables. They are the main liaison between the guest and the kitchen, ensuring each guest’s needs are met throughout their dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide warm, professional, and unobtrusive service to guests.
Have thorough menu knowledge to explain ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, entering them into the POS system promptly.
Serve food and beverages correctly, following restaurant protocol (e.g., "service from the right, clearance from the left").
Maintain table maintenance: crumbing, refilling water/wine, clearing finished plates.
Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address any concerns, escalating if necessary.
Work in tandem with Runners to ensure timely delivery of food.
Prepare and present checks, process payments accurately.
Reset tables efficiently and assist with opening/closing duties.

Requirements:

Previous waiting experience, preferably in a high-volume or fine-dining setting.
Strong menu and basic wine knowledge.
Excellent customer service skills and a polished appearance.
Ability to multitask and work cohesively in a team.
Physical stamina to be on feet for extended periods.
