Job Title: Consultant / Specialist Neurologist

Department: Neurology / Neuroscience Center

Reporting To: Head of Neurology / Chief Medical Officer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an accomplished Consultant Neurologist to join our tertiary care team. The ideal candidate will provide expert diagnosis and management for the full spectrum of neurological disorders, contribute to stroke program leadership, and engage in teaching and multidisciplinary consultation. A sub-specialty interest (e.g., Stroke, Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Neuroimmunology) is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for a wide range of neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, neuropathies, dementia).
Lead or actively participate in the hospital's acute stroke response team, including evaluation for thrombolysis and thrombectomy.
Interpret diagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG/NCS (depending on credentials), and neuroimaging (CT, MRI).
Develop and implement comprehensive, evidence-based treatment plans for chronic neurological patients.
Serve as a key consultant to the ICU, Emergency Department, Neurosurgery, and Internal Medicine teams.
Mentor and train neurology residents and medical students.
Participate in clinical audits, research activities, and the development of neurological services.
Maintain meticulous electronic medical records.

Requirements:

Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Valid DOH License or DOH passer (Mandatory).
Board Certification or equivalent in Neurology.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a practicing Specialist/Consultant Neurologist.
Extensive experience in acute stroke management is essential.
Proficiency in neurodiagnostic procedures is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, clinical reasoning, and patient communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Immediate availability to join is highly preferred.
