About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Draftsman to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in translating engineering designs into detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery to support our ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D drawings, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD for civil or mechanical projects.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements, concepts, and design specifications.
Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, architectural layouts, structural details, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) schematics as per project needs.
Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, UAE regulations, and international best practices.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, material schedules, and quantity take-offs.
Update and maintain drawing registers and ensure proper filing of all project drawings.
Support the project team with site measurements and as-built drawings when required.
Utilize MS Project to assist in tracking project timelines and milestones related to drafting deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Draftsman, specifically within the UAE construction or engineering sector.
Technical Proficiency:
Essential: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
Essential: Good working knowledge of MS Project.
(Preferred) Familiarity with other software like Revit, Civil 3D, or Navisworks is a strong advantage.
Strong Knowledge: Solid understanding of drafting standards, engineering principles, and construction methodologies relevant to Civil/Mechanical disciplines.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and keen eye for detail in preparing and checking drawings.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
