Position: E&I Senior Specialist

Reporting to: Maintenance Superintendent

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

The E&I Senior Specialist is a subject matter expert providing high-level technical leadership for the maintenance and optimization of all instrumentation and distributed control systems (DCS). This role is critical for resolving chronic issues, implementing improvements, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the ultimate technical authority for troubleshooting and resolving the most complex DCS and field instrumentation failures.
Lead reliability improvement initiatives and root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for critical equipment.
Develop and optimize preventive/predictive maintenance strategies for the DCS and critical instruments.
Specify and oversee the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements.
Develop and deliver technical training programs for E&I technicians and specialists.
Review and approve engineering drawings, logic modifications, and management of change (MOC) requests.
Provide critical support during plant turnarounds and major startups.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years of extensive, hands-on experience in instrumentation and DCS maintenance/engineering.
Expert-level knowledge of DCS architecture, configuration, and networking.
Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring technical teams.
In-depth understanding of process safety and instrumented systems (SIS).
