Job Purpose

To ensure the maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency of the organization's electronic platforms. This role leverages Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps principles to automate operations, respond to incidents, and continuously improve system performance. The officer will act as a bridge between development and operations, focusing on automating away repetitive tasks and building a more resilient infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):

Manage and monitor the organization's suite of electronic platforms, ensuring they meet SLAs and SLOs.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical production incidents.
Conduct blameless post-mortems for production incidents and drive the implementation of corrective actions.
Focus on toil reduction through automation to improve engineering productivity.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Automation:

Develop, maintain, and deploy infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
Manage and automate cloud resources (likely AWS, Azure, or GCP) to ensure scalable and cost-effective environments.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and safe deployment of applications and infrastructure changes.

Platform Support & Development:

Provide advanced technical support for electronic platforms, troubleshooting complex issues across the application stack.
Write and maintain scripts in Python and/or Java for automation, monitoring, and integration tasks.
Collaborate with software development teams to ensure platforms are designed for reliability and operability ("Design for DevOps").

Monitoring & Performance:

Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions for improvement.

Security & Compliance:

Ensure all platform configurations and automations adhere to the organization's security policies and compliance standards.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience

Language: Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Experience: Proven hands-on experience in the following:
SRE/DevOps Principles: Practical understanding of SRE fundamentals (SLIs, SLOs, Error Budgets) and DevOps culture.
Cloud Automation: Significant experience with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration management.
Programming/Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python is highly preferred; experience with Java is a significant advantage.
Cloud Platforms: Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Nagios.
Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment.
Previous experience in a large-scale, enterprise environment.
