Head Waiter / Waiters

Job Summary:

The Waiter is the primary point of contact for guests, responsible for guiding them through their dining experience. This role requires extensive menu knowledge, impeccable service skills, and the ability to build rapport to ensure guest satisfaction and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service:
Warmly greet guests, present menus, and articulate daily specials and menu highlights.
Provide expert recommendations on food and beverage pairings.
Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar via the POS system.
Check in with tables throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction.
Present the bill, process payments, and thank guests sincerely.
Teamwork:
Work closely with assistant waiters/runners to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
Communicate effectively with the bar and kitchen teams.
Maintain a clean and organized section.

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience as a server in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Point-of-Sale (POS) system proficiency.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Head Waiter Additional Responsibilities:

Acts as a team leader for a section of the dining room, often handling key or VIP tables.
Assists in training new servers.
Has a deeper knowledge of wine and spirits, often assisting with wine service.
