Jr. Procurement Officer

Reports To: Procurement Manager / Senior Procurement Officer

Job Summary:

The Jr. Procurement Officer supports the procurement cycle by assisting in the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services for projects. The role focuses on ensuring timely acquisition of quality goods at competitive prices, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adherence to project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in issuing requests for quotation (RFQs), tender packages, and purchase orders.
Source and evaluate potential suppliers and subcontractors based on price, quality, and delivery capability.
Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, production schedules, and delivery dates to ensure materials arrive on site as planned.
Maintain and update the procurement tracker and logistics schedule for assigned projects.
Process procurement documentation, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices for approval.
Liaise with the project site team and warehouse to coordinate deliveries and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist in negotiating prices and payment terms with vendors under supervision.
Help maintain the approved supplier database and vendor performance records.
Research new materials and suppliers in the market.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project specifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in a procurement or logistics role, preferably within construction or manufacturing.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Basic understanding of procurement principles and supply chain logistics.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Knowledge of façade materials (aluminum, glass, cladding) is advantageous.
